Unveiled during London Fashion Week, Summer 2027 marks Jack Isenberg’s debut collection as Design Director of Temperley London, introducing a fresh creative perspective to the brand, while honouring the rich legacy that has defined Temperley for more than 25 years.
Drawing inspiration from his personal experiences with the magical landscapes and artisanal traditions of Peru, Isenberg’s collection explores colour, texture, and symbolism from the region. Ethereal pinks and soft nude tones of Peru’s Pink Lagoon inform the collection’s palette, complemented by flashes of Peruvian gold and the celestial shades of the night sky.
Traditional materials, techniques, and motifs are reimagined. The tactile softness associated with alpaca is interpreted through delicate featherwork, while the sculptural form of the coca leaf is abstracted into three-dimensional gold embellishments. The Peruvian Lily is transformed through intricate three-dimensional threadwork while scattered star embroidery evokes the night sky.
For his first collection, Isenberg immersed himself in the Temperley London archive, exploring its rich history of embroidery, embellishment, and artisanal technique, while reinterpreting the brand’s legacy.
The collection has been conceived as a series of individual pieces, each with its own unique character. New shapes, textures, and techniques bring greater sensuality to Temperley. Restrained necklines are opened; blouses are loosened; and evening silhouettes reveal more of the body through fluid lines. The result recaptures something of the independent spirit of Temperley London’s earliest years, expressed for a new generation.
“Summer 2027 represents a new chapter for Temperley London: one that respects the extraordinary legacy of Temperley while beginning to explore a new creative expression,” says Jack Isenberg, Design Director of Temperley London. “It was important to me to understand the brand’s rich history of embroideries and techniques that have made the brand so distinctive.”
