Overview of Role:
A competent all-rounder to support the business on trend, calendar and all design led needs. Work with the Creative Director to re launch the ready to wear collection and establish the direction of each season and follow through from sketch to final salesman samples for both Temperley London and the Bridal collections. Partner with Product Development team in order to execute all necessary products to meet the business requirement.
Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively in the development of concepts for each collection in order to execute the vision of the Creative Director for the brand.
Ensure timelines and calendar guidelines are met for sketches and launching of prototypes.
Liaise with Product Development to ensure quality execution of the samples.
Work with Creative Director to coordinate selection of fabrics, colours and trims.
Research silhouettes, colour and themes for Temperley London and Bridal collections.
Sketch and follow through with the pattern room and PD to develop samples for all collections.
Fittings with in-house pattern room and at product reviews to ensure design intent is maintained and approve fit.
Ensure that sample development is kept within agreed timelines.
Liaise with Head of Textiles throughout all stages of the development each collection.
Motivate and direct the mainline Designer and Design Assistant.
Collaborate with Creative Director, stylist and marketing on all lookbook shoots and in fashion show production.
Help coordinate bespoke orders and special projects.
Requirements:
RTW Design experience in the global luxury goods market with at least 5 years’ experience (maybe 4-5 years minimum) but not sure what level is required
Good understanding on print and knitwear
Technical drawings
Commercially savvy
Excellent Adobe suite skills
Exceptional talent for both hand sketching and technical CADs
Good understanding of brand objectives
Good colour and fabric sensibility
Highly organised yet creative
Build strong collaborative working relationships with team and external suppliers
Ability to deliver high quality products on time and within margin

Overview of Role:
The role of the Head of Textile Design is to create beautifully hand-crafted textile designs across Temperley Mainline and Bridal ranges and to develop through to commercially viable product ready for market. Reporting to the Creative Director and working closely with pattern cutters and the Product Development team, creating individually tailored textile designs, from intricate embroideries to knit jacquard CADs. The Head of Textiles will be responsible for ensuring that commercial and creative briefs are met, according to the range plan, costs and critical path.
Responsibilities:
For each season; Heritage, Spring/Summer and Autumn Winter monthly drops, Bridal:
Working closely with the creative director, managing seasonal inspiration for all Textiles groups within the range plan and developing the designs through to production stage
Developing new textiles techniques and allocating factories suitable swatching stories to result in innovative product that adheres to the range parameters and pricing structure
Managing the Textile team’s workload to ensure that all aspects of the critical path are being adhered to simultaneously
Swatching and Print Design:
Creation of textile design ideas through research, hand drawings, paintings and CADs made using photoshop
Creating technical guides and references for designs
Responsible for launching according to critical path so that swatches are in studio in time for sketch review
Keeping a reference of each design sent to factories (photocopy/photograph)
Liaising with Product Development department as well as directly with suppliers RE delivery dates, costs etc.
Sketch Review:
Working closely with Creative Director and Womenswear team, swatches are selected and allocated to groups according to the range plan; this requires a knowledge of Factories specialism and technical costing
Print artworks and fabric bases selected for strike off, then launched in accordance with critical path
Where applicable new fabric developments such as lace or jacquard designs will be launched as a trial in accordance with the critical path while taking into account both budget and sampling/production MOQs and lead time
Proto stage artworking:
Attending toille fittings and directing the development of swatch or print artwork to work with each garment
Creating intricately placed textile designs, -across print, embroidery and jacquards - engineered uniquely to each garment pattern, to define and compliment the human form
At this stage, designs are created using swatches produced at swatching stage, and allow us to see the commercial viability as well as aesthetic of swatches created by textile team, and allows us to refine techniques, or counter source them.
Responsible for handing over to Product Development by set deadline and keeping a record of all artworks
Design seasonal colour palette and prepare multiple colourway options across entire textile offering to select from at the collection colour up review. These will then be launched with respective factories for striking off/ swatching in accordance with the critical path
Seasonal reviews:
Ensure that overview boards are up to date including original swatches, Temperley designed swatches and colourways, can be presented at review.
Attends Proto review, suggesting development feedback and methods of achieving price targets, keeping notes and photographing changes made to textile designs to be art worked at next stage.
VIP bespoke artworks mainline and bridal.
Coordinates the fabric swatch library within design, ensuring that swatches are filed under seasons in which they were made and used in collections.
Coordinates digitial artwork library - labelling and upkeep of folders containing records of all artworks produced.
Work on special projects and deals with requests from press for projects such as Bridal.
Supporting Creative Director in overseeing textiles contribution
Requirements:
An ardent interest and passion for luxury Textile Design
6 years’ experience in a similar role
Intuitive creative abilities
Able to multitask, delegate and juggle multiple priorities to achieve deadlines
Anticipate sampling issues and problem-solve before/when they arise
Affinity with brand ethos and eagerness to see the vision of the brand being realised
Excellent technical knowledge of textile design practice and techniques involved in creating best product possible
Multi-tasking in fast paced environment.
Excellent drawing and painting skills
Excellent photoshop skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Overall Purpose:
To make garments by following the guidance of Design and Product Development.
Responsibilities:
To measure clients and fit garments to them using various tools and equipment including fabric, needles, thread and sewing machines.
To lengthen or shorten garments to fit clients properly or replace zippers.
Take body measurements / make garments to a specified size
Draw the outlines of the dress on the fabric, as per the measurements taken, and then cut the fabric using a pair of scissors. Once all the pieces of the dress are cut, the seamstress attaches the pieces together with pins before sewing them by using a sewing machine.
Make finishing touches to the garment by sewing the buttons, zips or hooks etc
Requirements:
Skilled, experience-backed sewing abilities
Thorough knowledge of zippers, fabric, buttons, linings and patterns
Manual dexterity and strong eye-hand coordination
Must be attentive to detail, demonstrate strong self-control, and be able to work well independently
Ability to communicate clearly with clients to determine their needs

Overall Purpose:
To sell Temperley RTW and Bridal merchandise and offer high standard of personal and professional service to customers.
Responsibilities:
To assist in maintaining the company standard to maximise sales
To greet, serve and advise clients, giving the best service possible at all times while introducing additional and alternative sales
To be fully conversant with the product range including product alterations, stock availability
To maintain the highest standards of house keeping within the branch
To acquire a basic knowledge of visual merchandising
Ensuring stock levels are well maintained
To be aware of the company policy on customer complaints, returns and exchange procedures
Handling customer complaints or handing customers on to management
To be able to work on own initiative and on any specific mission or project as defined by your manager
To handle payments in all forms
To register all relevant transaction details onto the database
To be proficient at creating and updating client files, managing own client book
To book bridal appointments and fittings via phone and email
To manage bridal appointments and perform all the necessary admin post the appointment

Overall Purpose:
To support the design team in all activity to ensure the smooth running of the department.
(Minimum 6 months)
Overview of Role:
Research and create story names for each season
Load and update all styles on system, set up rangeplans, tracker and seasons folders
Update system with all style changes, cancellations, additions, story images and sketches for each season update up to SMS stage
Enter all colourways into the rangeplan and update throughout the season
Ensure collection is categorized and processed correctly on all platforms in design and this is clearly communicated to all teams
Support merchandising to ensure linesheets are up to date and correct for selling
Undertaking any ad hoc projects.
Photograph vintage samples, log and update on tracker
Design research: silhouette mood and concept for Mainline and Bridal
Create and maintain seasonal boards in the design studio and update as required during the development of the collection
Update fitting photograph folders and boards after each studio fitting
Requirements:
Currently studying at degree level in a fashion related subject
Good knowledge of Excel and Photoshop
Confident in undertaking admin-based duties, good telephone manner and email etiquette
Ability to work well within a team but to also be able to take initiative when needed
Competent in organizing your own workload and schedule
Confident in multi-tasking, working to tight deadlines and prioritizing.
Strong interest in fashion and design.
Some experience interning or working in a fashion company would be helpful but not essential.

Overall Purpose:
To learn and practice the efficient movement of products and merchandise to and from the Company.
Overview of Role:
Learning how to receive or send goods, ensuring items are properly and securely packed & are in correct amounts
Developing skills that will allow you to prepare logistics reports
Cooperating with other team members to coordinate logistics with other departments and drivers
Understanding how to check reports made by others
li>Developing communication with clients, customers, forwarder agents and customs on the status of the shipment
Being taught how to ensure Company materials’ correctness and meet customs requirements to avoid mistakes and fines
To assist various departments and individuals in the company to ensure goods flow in/out of the company in an organized and timely manner
Helping to arrange pickup and delivery, trace shipment and provide customer/vendor shipment status
Alongside the general training given to interns, during your time at Temperley London you will be provided with all the support you need to become successful in logistics. This could include CV support, contacts and networking opportunities, flexible working hours and any other support that you may feel you need during your time here as an intern.
