Echoes of Greek goddesses run through the collection, Romantic art and 20th century visual storytelling. The worlds of Madame Yevonde’s Galaxy of Goddesses and Jean Cocteau’s dreamlike, film- noir Orpheus inspire a mood of strength and softness, glamour and mystery, reality and reflection.
Art and illusion together convey the heart of the season. Inspired by Cocteau’s shattered mirrors and dreamlike journeys between worlds, surfaces break apart and come back together across hand-beaded gowns, sculptural silhouettes and weightless layers of tulle, chiffon, and velvet.
Rather than looking back, myth is treated as something modern and evolving. Classical details such as guilloché ornament, fluid draping, celestial symbolism, and story-like scenes, are reimagined with a modern touch. Embroidery and embellishment become a subtle form of power: sequins and beads reference ancient ideas of ritual structure and reality, while intentionally imperfect finishes brings in softness, touching upon the elements of mystery and fantasy.
The colour palette deepens this sense of contrast and drama. Sapphire and peacock blues are offset with khaki undertones, rich golds, platinum embellishment and luminous metallic embroidery. Ethereal jade green and soft lilac rose are illuminated by alabaster peach and dove grey, creating a mood that is both romantic and cinematic.
Rooted in Temperley London’s devotion to craftsmanship, Autumn Winter 2026 celebrates artistry – embroidery, beadwork, print, and drape as a form of storytelling. Each piece is designed to feel like a timeless yet modern heirloom.
