    • Production Coordinator (Ilminster, Somerset)

      TITLE: Production Coordinator

      REPORTS TO: Head of Product

      The role of Production Co-ordinator is responsible for Temperley London’s objectives with regards to manufacturing within the luxury market, ensuring the delivery of our collections are successfully achieved within a meticulous timeline and meeting business requirements.

      Reports into the Head of Product.

      Responsibilities

      • Responsible for Temperley London’s manufacturing across our Mainline and Bridal collections, along with any additional bespoke or flash runs the company develops.
      • Raw material purchasing and management for all CMT product and Temperley provided trims
      • Attend seasonal handover meetings to gain vital knowledge of the collections
      • Maintain product data in the relevant documents and PLM system throughout the seasons, including pricing, raising POs and GRN in-transit receipts.
      • Alongside the PD team ensure PP sample sign offs are completed in line with achieving required ex-factory dates
      • Manage the request, delivery, and approval of top-of-production samples, including measuring and QC of these pieces
      • Providing daily support to suppliers, liaising directly with the PD and Studio team to solve any queries which arise
      • Update and circulate weekly delivery schedules to the business, ensuring a full picture of required and expected delivery dates are always understood, flagging any delivery issues or changes
      • Weekly meetings with Finance team and Head of Product to discuss cashflow, providing insight into payment schedules and any priorities as not to impact delivery schedule
      • Quality Assurance through identification and management of anticipated quality control challenges and implementation of appropriate solutions
      • Collate and process sales data to provide the business and our suppliers with firstly seasonal projection information then later the final order information, analysing fabric and supplier MOQ and manufacturing lead times to ensure our orders will achieve timely delivery and meet the manufacturing requirements
      • Strong communication with all suppliers to maintain the manufacturing schedule is vital
      • Creation and approval of care labels and barcode labels
      • Preparation and shipment of trim packages
      • Quality Control support to suppliers and our roaming QC for all raw material and bulk goods, ensuring production achieves Temperley standards and requirements
      • Responsible for processing efficiently and without delay any QC repairs with manufacturers
      • Working closely with the logistics department to ensure a smooth transition of production ex-factory dates through to shipment into the warehouse. Vital to this process is careful monitoring of deliveries against initial POs vs GRN in-transit receipts.

        Experience

      • 5 + years professional experience in the womenswear luxury goods industry, with a strong understanding of the production process from collection launch through to bulk delivery

      • Solid comprehension of manufacturing luxury womenswear product with awareness of pattern cutting, garment construction, fit, fabrication and artwork technique knowledge

      • Strong verbal & written communication skills with the ability to build vital supplier relationships

      • Clear understanding and ability to work to a strict critical path

      • Able to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines, working well on own initiative and as part of a close team

      Overall Purpose:

      LOGISTICS UNPAID INTERNSHIP

      TITLE:                                     Logistics Internship 

      REPORTS TO:                         Logistics & Warehouse Manager

      Overall Purpose:

      To learn and practice the efficient movement of products and merchandise to and from the Company.

      Your experience as a Temperley London intern:

      • Learning how to receive or send goods, ensuring items are properly and securely packed & are in correct amounts
      • Developing skills that will allow you to prepare logistics reports
      • Cooperating with other team members to coordinate logistics with other departments and drivers
      • Understanding how to check reports made by others
      • Developing communication with clients, customers, forwarder agents and customs on the status of the shipment.
      • Being taught how to ensure Company materials’ correctness and meet customs requirements to avoid mistakes and fines.
      • To assist various departments and individuals in the company to ensure goods flow in/out of the company in an organized and timely manner
      • Helping to arrange pickup and delivery, trace shipment and provide customer/vendor shipment status.

    • Design Internship  (Ilminster, Somerset)

      To support the design team in all activity to ensure the smooth running of the department.

      (Minimum 6 months)

      What you will learn:

      • Research and create story names for each season.
      • Load and update all styles on system, set up rangeplans, tracker and seasons folders.
      • Update system with all style changes, cancellations, additions, story images and sketches for each season update up to SMS stage.
      • Enter all colourways into the rangeplan and update throughout the season.
      • Ensure collection is categorized and processed correctly on all platforms in design and this is clearly communicated to all teams.
      • Support merchandising to ensure linesheets are up to date and correct for selling.
      • Undertaking any ad hoc projects.
      • Photograph vintage samples, log and update on tracker.
      • Design research: silhouette mood and concept for Mainline and Bridal.
      • Create and maintain seasonal boards in the design studio and update as required during the development of the collection.
      • Update fitting photograph folders and boards after each studio fitting.

      Preferred skills and experience:

      • Currently studying at degree level in a fashion related subject.
      • Good knowledge of Excel and Photoshop.
      • Knowledge of using Prima or similar software program would be advantageous but not essential.
      • Confident in undertaking admin-based duties, good telephone manner and email etiquette.

      Overall Purpose:
      We are currently recruiting for an intern to join Temperley London’s Production and Quality Control team for a minimum duration of 6 months, to start asap. This is a unique opportunity to assist in the day to day running of a fast-paced department and to begin your fashion career. You will be working on all Temperley London and Bridal collections we produce each year alongside and we are looking for an undergraduate student who as part of their studies is eager to get involved supporting our team and developing their own knowledge.


      Responsibilities:
      • Managing courier shipments that leave the Production department.
      • Pre-shipment sample management: responsible for managing pre-shipment samples that arrive in the department on a daily basis. Login in units into the system and inform relevant departments of stock availability.
      • Assisting in the Quality Control of all the pre-shipment samples, as well as occasionally visiting factories based in London and our warehouse for QC bulk Production deliveries.
      • Managing all the Retail, Wholesales and Customer Care requests, including any raw material needed for an alteration purpose, as well as maintain up to date the Sales requests tracker.
      • Assisting in the Creation of all the Care Labels.
      • Maintain up to date all Product Compositions in the system.
      • Maintain up to date the Bridal Fabric swatch archive, Sequins Archive trackers and respective inventories.
      • Assisting on ad hoc projects for the department and completing and responding to requests from internal team.

    • Seamstress (Ilminster, Somerset)

      Overall Purpose:

      To make clothes by following the guidance of Design and Product Development.

      Responsibilities:

      • To measure clients and fit garments to them using various tools and equipment including fabric, needles, thread and sewing machines.
      • To lengthen or shorten garments to fit clients properly or replace zippers.
      • Take body measurements / make garments to a specified size
      • Draw the outlines of the dress on the fabric, as per the measurements taken, and then cut the fabric using a pair of scissors. Once all the pieces of the dress are cut, the seamstress attaches the pieces together with pins before sewing them by using a sewing machine.
      • Make finishing touches to the garment by sewing the buttons, zips or hooks etc

      Skills/requirements/experience:

      • Ability to sew.
      • Thorough knowledge of zippers, fabric, buttons, linings and patterns.
      • Manual dexterity and strong eye-hand coordination.
      • Must be attentive to detail, demonstrate strong self-control, and be able to work well independently.

    • Junior Pattern Cutter (Ilminster, Somerset)

      Overall Purpose:

      The role of the Junior Pattern Cutter is to work closely within the Studio team and with the Designers to create garments and achieve the best product for Temperley London.  

      Responsibilities:

      • Provide assistance to Senior Pattern Cutters with the development of garments at all stages.
      • Develop silhouettes from conception through to production, discussing sketches with Design team. Create shape mock-ups and develop pattern from feedback.
      • Consider fabrics, adapt finishes and details.
      • Convert toiles into functional and productive patterns that can be understood by our machinists and factories.
      • Have skill with the Gerber CAD system to input, manipulate, create, and adjust patterns.
      • Attend fittings with designers and developers; make suggestions and notes to amend patterns and garments.
      • Create the necessary specification paperwork, with measurements and construction details using excel.
      • Work out consumptions of materials and input into systems.
      • Communicate and work closely with the sample machinists in making up garments and if necessary, adjusting patterns accordingly
      • Help with Studio Room upkeep and general admin.

      Skills/requirements/experience:

      • You will need to be self-driven, good at organising your time, have good communication skills, and be able to manage your workflow effectively and work within a small close team.
      • Gerber system knowledge.
      • Pattern Cutting knowledge essential. 2-3 years’ experience withing a high-end luxury brand preferred, but not essential.

      WHOLESALE UNPAID INTERNSHIP

      We are looking for passionate and innovative Wholesale Interns to join the Sales Team for at least one month but preferably for a 3 or 6 month placement from June 2022. This is a unique opportunity to assist in the day to day running of a fast-paced department and to begin your fashion career within the field of Sales. 

      Throughout this placement you will be able to learn and develop your skills across all areas of Sales including showroom assistance, administration, sales orders, invoicing, reporting and customer care. We are looking for a self-starter who is eager to get involved, gain experience and develop their own knowledge.

      Alongside the general training given to interns, during your time at Temperley London you will be provided with all the support you need to become successful in wholesale.       JOB ROLE:                           Store Supervisor Bridal and RTW

      REPORTS TO:                      Store Manager

      Overall Purpose:

      To optimise Temperley London sales and profits through the boutique whilst also delivering the Temperley brand experience.

      Responsibilities:

      • Sell the Temperley Fashion collections through the Boutique whilst setting the standards of excellence for the Temperley retail operation world-wide.
      • Ensure that overall sales and profit margins are achieved at agreed budget levels.
      • Ensure that the Temperley brand experience and overall customer service meet the same levels of excellence as the brand collection.
      • Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and housekeeping in order to promote the Temperley brand to the retail public.
      • Develop pro-active sales initiatives and events to drive sales within the Boutique.
      • Capture appropriate information from customers in a professional manner; passing this onto the necessary departments.
      • Maintain accurate stock levels and liaise with the Stock Controller/Merchandiser so as to ensure that stock is always optimised to meet public demand
      • Provide market information to assist in pricing and range planning.
      • Liaise with all parts of the business to help proactively manage sales/ profitability.

      Managing the Team:

      • Manage staff rotas and working arrangements to meet trading demands.
      • Communicate to all members of the team on a daily and weekly basis, to ensure they are fully aware of all aspects of the Boutique, including new stock arrivals, sales performance and other KPI’s
      • Fully train and coach the team on a regular basis to ensure they are able to pro-actively sell to ensure ATV and conversation rate is maximised.

      Maintaining Retail Standards:

      • Implement and manage the store retail systems and maintain an accurate interface with the main company systems.
      • Liaise with the business Visual Merchandiser to ensure that the Boutique image is always on brand in terms of visual presentation, quality and service.

    • Product Development Internship (Ilminster, Somerset)

      Overall Purpose:


      The role of the Product Development Intern is to support the PD team for a 6-month placement to achieve its objectives with regards to fit, technical quality and standards of manufacture of each product and that they are successfully achieved within a meticulous timeline and to business expectations.  In return you will acquire an in-depth understanding of the fashion industry, building seasonal collections and developing products through each sampling stage from prototype to final pre-production sign off.  You will work closely with the product, design and studio teams, you will gain extensive technical knowledge on fit, construction, fabrication, artwork techniques and supplier base.

      Responsibilities:

      • To provide vital administrative support to the Product Development Team, assisting in any and all functions of the department
      • Work alongside Product Development Manager to ensure samples are launched, received, fitted and processed within the agreed timescales of the critical path
      • Build and maintain strong communication with the various product departments; design, studio, production
      • Participate in fit meetings alongside the design and studio teams, taking down dictated notes on fit and construction
      • Assist in updating detailed technical specification packs post fit meetings, relaying notes and imagery information for both Temperley studio and factory communication
      • Maintain sample management in the relevant seasonal documents throughout the seasons, liaising with factories to follow progress and recording samples that arrive in and out of the department
      • Accurate measurement and preparation of samples prior to fit meetings;
      • Manage courier shipments leaving the Product Development department alongside our logistics manager
      • Support Product Development team with raising sampling Purchase Orders
      • Responsible for organisation and budget management of model bookings for fit meetings
      • Assisting with creation and annotation of tech packs
      • Supporting the Product Development team and Studio in the run-up to Lookbook shoots and Fashion Week presentations
