  • Customer Service & Logistics Assistant (London)

    JOB ROLE:                           Customer Service & Logistics Assistant
    REPORTS TO:                      Logistics Manager                                

    THE ROLE

    Primarily responsible for the brands customer service and the coordination of shipping & logistics activities across the Temperley global supply chain; providing logistics support to internal departments, ensuring adherence to shipping policy; and, maintaining administrative compliance in relation to import/export function across the supply chain.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    CUSTOMER SERVICE

    • Online customer support via several channels including email, phone and Whatsapp, Messenger etc.
    • Processing of Web orders via Magento (previous experience or ability to pick up on how to use Magento) & Prima
    • Daily tasks checking orders & returns/refund\s process handling
    • Reporting (customer returns and general overview of customer service)
    • Closely support E-commerce team, raise any site issues, customer payment issues etc.
    • Ensure outbound & customer returns are processed accurately – through Prima, Magento & Global E.
    • Take responsibility to improve product knowledge and advise customers on purchases
    • Increase sales by being aware of current trends, styles and availability of products
    • Liaising with logistics/warehouse for e-commerce deliveries & up to date delivery schedule, order recalls, Customs, our carrier’s enquiries
    • Working alongside 3rd party shipping partners (GlobalE)
    • Liaise with Retail Store Team (Web related enquiries, collect – in store orders etc.)
    • Customer stock transfers & re-orders
    • Ensure exemplary levels of customer service are displayed at all times
    • Managing investor pre-orders

    LOGISTICS

    • Monitor all inbound and outbound shipments and ensure documentation is in accordance with the Temperley SOPs and the rules and regulations of the respective country of destination.
    • Maintain up to date understanding of Customs rules and regulations that apply between any two markets, Intrastat and triangulation.
    • Liaise with third party partners to track shipments made and related freight information to give the business swift transit times and visibility of goods shipped.
    • Liaise with third party partners for any exceptions in OTIF fulfilment
    • Processing wholesale/ecommerce orders on ERP/Magento platforms
    • Liaise with EXW/ FOB/ FCA carriers to receive delivery and shipping notifications.
    • Run reports and check for outstanding collection/ deliveries from vendors, ecommerce, retail, wholesale, press - liaising with the carriers and sourcing team to resolve.
    • Maintain databases and systems accurately so that reports can be obtained relating customer/vendor/carrier performances, shortages and losses.
    • Escalate issues and problems accordingly to your Manager and follow through to close
    • Preparation and execution of essential shipping paperwork for both Export & Imports, through different portals and platforms.
    • Application for COO, ATR, EUR1 from Chambers of Commerce in Italy and UK.
    • Maintain up to date US/EU Customs Tariffs data for in-season despatch.
    • Daily clearance via GTS, investigating inbound shipments against any duties payable.

    KEY KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

    • Advanced excel/numerical skills
    • Working knowledge of a common ERP/WMS
    • Knowledge of ground and air freight transportation
    • Textile/ retail industry experience preferred
    • International trade & multi-channel experience desirable
    • 3PL/4PL model experience desirable
    • At least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar customer service & logistics role
    • Knowledge of airfreight and customs processes
    • Fluent in Windows applications
    • Working knowledge of Prima & Magento desirable

    • To maintain the highest standards of house keeping within the branch.
    • To acquire a basic knowledge of visual merchandising.
    • Ensuring stock levels are well maintained
    • To be aware of the company policy on customer complaints, returns and exchange procedures.

  • Store Supervisor Bridal and RTW (London)

    JOB ROLE:                           Store Supervisor Bridal and RTW

    REPORTS TO:                      Store Manager

    Overall Purpose:

    To optimise Temperley London sales and profits through the boutique whilst also delivering the Temperley brand experience.

    Responsibilities:

    • Sell the Temperley Fashion collections through the Boutique whilst setting the standards of excellence for the Temperley retail operation world-wide.
    • Ensure that overall sales and profit margins are achieved at agreed budget levels.
    • Ensure that the Temperley brand experience and overall customer service meet the same levels of excellence as the brand collection.
    • Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and housekeeping in order to promote the Temperley brand to the retail public.
    • Develop pro-active sales initiatives and events to drive sales within the Boutique.
    • Capture appropriate information from customers in a professional manner; passing this onto the necessary departments.
    • Maintain accurate stock levels and liaise with the Stock Controller/Merchandiser so as to ensure that stock is always optimised to meet public demand
    • Provide market information to assist in pricing and range planning.
    • Liaise with all parts of the business to help proactively manage sales/ profitability.

    Managing the Team:

    • Manage staff rotas and working arrangements to meet trading demands.
    • Communicate to all members of the team on a daily and weekly basis, to ensure they are fully aware of all aspects of the Boutique, including new stock arrivals, sales performance and other KPI’s
    • Fully train and coach the team on a regular basis to ensure they are able to pro-actively sell to ensure ATV and conversation rate is maximised.

    Maintaining Retail Standards:

    • Implement and manage the store retail systems and maintain an accurate interface with the main company systems.
    • Liaise with the business Visual Merchandiser to ensure that the Boutique image is always on brand in terms of visual presentation, quality and service.
    • Manage the administration, store cash and banking procedures within company policy and procedures.
    • Ensure all ‘back office’ locations are fully maintained and always organised to help ensure accurate administration and stock management.

    Ensure complete compliance to all Health and Safety regulations; ensuring records, notices and equipment are kept fully maintained.  Conduct training as and when necessary.

  • Freelance Pattern Cutter (Ilminster, Somerset)

    JOB ROLE:                      Freelance Pattern Cutter (Ilminster, Somerset)

    REPORTS TO:                Senior Pattern Cutter

    Overall Purpose:

    The role of the Pattern Cutter is to work closely within the Studio team and with the Designers, as required, to achieve the best product for Temperley London. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Follow and take responsibility for patterns from conception through to production.  You will discuss with the designers their sketches, drape and mockup toiles on the stand to develop the silhouette required.
      Take into account fabrics, develop finishes and details
    • Convert toile’s into functional and productive patterns that can be understood by our machinists and factories.
    • Have skill with the Gerber CAD system to input, manipulate, create and adjust patterns.
      Attend fittings with designers and developers; make suggestions and notes to amend patterns and garments.
    • Create the necessary specification paperwork, with measurements and construction details using excel.
      Work out consumptions of materials and input into systems.
    • Communicate and work closely with the sample machinists in making up garments and if necessary, adjusting patterns accordingly.

    Experience:

    • You will need to be self-driven, good at organising your time, have good communication skills, and be able to manage your workflow effectively and work within a small close team.
    • Experience using Gerber
    • A minimum of 5 years experience as a Pattern cutter mostly in Designer or high-end High Street business is essential.

  • Wholesale Internship (London)

    Overall Purpose:

    We are looking for two passionate and innovative Wholesale Interns to join the Sales Team for a 6-month placement. This is a unique opportunity to assist in the day to day running of a fast-paced department and to begin your fashion career within the field of Sales.

    You will be assisting with all areas of Sales including showroom assistance, administration, sales orders, invoicing, reporting and customer care. We are looking for a self-starter who is eager to get involved in supporting our team and developing their own knowledge.

  • Studio Internship (Ilminster, Somerset)

    Overall Purpose:

    This is a 6-month, full-time position for a student work placement in the Temperley London Pattern Studio in Ilminster, Somerset starting from September 2021

    The role of the intern will be to assist in all aspects of the day to day running of a busy Pattern Studio. We require a reliable and conscientious person with good communication skills.  The intern should already have and can prove an understanding of garment construction and have a methodical working attitude.

    Full training will be given and there will be the opportunity to increase their skills in pattern cutting, sewing, unpicking, beading etc.  

    If successful, students will be required to attend an interview and bring along evidence of their abilities in the form of a portfolio and any examples of garments that they have made.  Students may then be required to stay at the studio for at least half a day as a trial.

    Responsibilities:

    • Preparing and cutting toiles for the pattern cutters to hand to sample machinists.
    • Preparing, logging and packing patterns to be sent to outside factories
    • Assisting the sample machinists with hand sewing/ beading and unpicking.
    • Plotting and digitizing patterns on the Gerber CAD system (training will be given)
    • Placing orders for sundries, such as stationary, plotter paper, calico and Haberdashery

  • Product Development Internship (Ilminster, Somerset)

    Overall Purpose:


    The role of the Product Development Intern is to support the PD team for a 6-month placement to achieve its objectives with regards to fit, technical quality and standards of manufacture of each product and that they are successfully achieved within a meticulous timeline and to business expectations.  In return you will acquire an in-depth understanding of the fashion industry, building seasonal collections and developing products through each sampling stage from prototype to final pre-production sign off.  You will work closely with the product, design and studio teams, you will gain extensive technical knowledge on fit, construction, fabrication, artwork techniques and supplier base.

    Responsibilities:

    • To provide vital administrative support to the Product Development Team, assisting in any and all functions of the department
    • Work alongside Product Development Manager to ensure samples are launched, received, fitted and processed within the agreed timescales of the critical path
    • Build and maintain strong communication with the various product departments; design, studio, production
    • Participate in fit meetings alongside the design and studio teams, taking down dictated notes on fit and construction
    • Assist in updating detailed technical specification packs post fit meetings, relaying notes and imagery information for both Temperley studio and factory communication
    • Maintain sample management in the relevant seasonal documents throughout the seasons, liaising with factories to follow progress and recording samples that arrive in and out of the department
    • Accurate measurement and preparation of samples prior to fit meetings;
    • Manage courier shipments leaving the Product Development department alongside our logistics manager
    • Support Product Development team with raising sampling Purchase Orders
    • Responsible for organisation and budget management of model bookings for fit meetings
    • Assisting with creation and annotation of tech packs
    • Supporting the Product Development team and Studio in the run-up to Lookbook shoots and Fashion Week presentations
