Visually captivating, the Novella dress is an elevated take on the classic cocktail style, with intriguing detailing creating a dynamic elegance and fluid movement. A sequin-hemmed cape overlay flowing to floaty lattice tulle sleeves and a sculpted bodice, a sheer ankle-length skirt layered over a fitted mini slip with delicate adjustable straps that cross at the back, finished with a bow.
Signature Temperley embellishment — hand-woven in artfully arranged filigree motifs, reminiscent of Italian frescos, contemporary cuts and a playful palette add a sense of drama, enlivening classic party styles in the Novella story. Process
Temperley prints are painstakingly hand-painted in-house. Motifs are collaged onto the body then lovingly engineered into compositions that work in harmony with the garment’s panelling, ensuring the printed fabric flows flawlessly across seam joints when the garment is constructed. The process is both meticulous and spontaneous, with an outcome that is truly unique and artisanal.
Materials
Committed to creating unique and original textiles, the Temperley team designs lace and woven fabrics in-house at our atelier, which are then crafted by our trusted partners at expert mills across the globe. We utilise best quality Italian tulle, soft and sheer, perfectly structured with a flawless drape. Another staple material includes luxurious silk, woven to create a lustrous effect, with a smooth and radiant finish, perfect for eveningwear.
