The 2023 Markel Magnolia Cup at Qatar Goodwood Festival will see Alice's iconic silk prints adorn the inspirational line up of female jockeys.

As per tradition, Goodwood selects a female-led fashion brand to create the collection of bespoke silks for the racing occasion. Previous designers include the likes of Hermes, Liberty, Mulberry, and Dame Vivienne Westwood.
Several of Temperley London's archive prints such as the Leonie, Avril, Clementina and Theodora have been selected and reimagined in the form of racing silks this year. All are original prints, hand painted in Somerset.

"I am thrilled to play a part in the Markel Magnolia Cup, supporting such a wonderful initiative – Education Above All. One of my great loves is horses, so it seems fitting to design bespoke Temperley silks to empower the female jockeys."

A decade ago, the Goodwood race was conceived to overcome the boundaries within horse racing, creating an inclusive community in support of women, their abilities, and well-being.
This year’s line-up features a truly inspiring team of riders from diverse backrounds and ages, each set to contest the five-and-a-half-furlong race down Goodwood Racecourse’s straight in August. You can read more about the individuals here.

We are proud to be partnered with this much anticipated charity race and Education Above All. All net proceeds will benefit the (EEA) Educate A Child programme in Malawi, which provides teaching and support for at-risk children and young girls in primary education. Since its inception, the philanthropic event has raised a significant £2.1 million.
