TITLE:   PRODUCTION DEVELOPMENT INTERNSHIP

REPORTS TO:   PRODUCTION COORDINATOR                     

We are currently recruiting for an intern to join the luxury British brand Temperley London’s Product Development team for a minimum duration of 3-6 months, beginning January 2020

This is a unique opportunity to assist in the day to day running of a fast paced department and to begin your fashion career within the field of product development. You will be working with the four Temperley London collections we produce each year alongside the two Temperley Bridal collections, and we are looking for an undergraduate student who as part of their studies is eager to get involved supporting our team and developing their own knowledge.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for organising and booking models for fit meetings and managing the fit calendar and budget
  • Sample management; responsible for managing samples that arrive in the department on a daily basis, ensuring they are measured, steamed and recorded
  • Providing support within fitting meetings, taking notations from product developer and designer. Following up meeting with preparation and formatting of spec sheets
  • Managing all of the courier shipments that leave the PD department
  • Processing and carrying out fabric testing if required
  • Supporting the Product Development team and Studio in the run up and during London Fashion Week and the Temperley London show
  • Assisting on ad hoc projects for the department and completing and responding to requests from internal team
  • Responsible for all stages of development of selected accessories, from sketch to production, under guidance from PD
  • Assisting with creation and annotation of tech packs

 

Essential Skills & Requirements: 

  • Undergraduate level still within full time education on placement/year in industry*
  • Proactive, with the ability to multi-task within a fast paced environment, seeking opportunities to support team and develop own learning
  • MS Office skills, particularly Excel and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • An excellent eye for detail and brilliant organisational skills
  • Passionate about fashion
  • Conducts self in professional manner at all times
