E-Commerce Manager 

Leading e-commerce management including trading, UX and digital marketing both direct to consumer with temperleylondon.com as well as developing key digital partnerships from all channels.


• Develop and implement the E-Commerce and Online Marketing strategy, ensuring that Temperley London fully exploits the potential of the brand online.

• Manage the ecommerce P&L.

• Manage and develop the E-Commerce team of 3.

• Manage every aspect of the website, ensuring i) a high quality online shopping experience supported by appropriate functionality and accurate web merchandising and content management, and ii) a look and feel that captures TL brand values and supports the wider TL business.

• Develop and implement the online trading and marketing plan, to i) deliver all product launches and seasonal content updates on time and in line with the wider TL business, ii) maximises sales in and out of Peak trading, and iii) increase brand awareness globally.

• Work alongside internal and external teams to manage the E-Commerce fulfilment operation, ensuring i) all orders are delivered on time and in a manner consistent with customers’ expectations and ii) customer queries are dealt with promptly, professionally and accurately.

• Work with IT & Finance to ensure that eCommerce fulfilment processes are streamlined and efficient.

• Manage digital marketing channels and 3rd party agency relationships including SEO, PPC affiliate and email marketing partners for both acquisition and retention strategies aligned with brand awareness. 

• Manage product photography critical path and ensure all products are online in shortest possible time with correct descriptions and details.

• Manage third party suppliers to ensure high levels of service are provided within agreed operating budgets.

• Manage effective internal communications and day to day working relationships with other teams in the wider TL business.

• Setting Digital and marketing strategy and budgets aligned with company growth and strategy.

• Reporting and analysis of trading and activity for senior management team on a regular basis.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in managerial E-Commerce role with a transactional online retail business

• Strategic thinking, able to think beyond the day to day business.

• Budget ownership and control.

• Experience of achieving growth through online marketing and website development.

• Commercial & luxury acumen.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex and extensive data and make actionable recommendations to the business in a structured and easy to understand way.

• Prior experience in digital marketing, PPC, Affiliate & SEO, Google analytics, & Google adwords

• High level of personal energy to drive projects to completion and inspire the team.

• Excellent planning skills – setting clear & realistic targets for multiple work streams; producing and managing project plans; contingency planning where appropriate.

• Ability to manage multiple work-streams at the same time and prioritise effectively to ensure deadlines are met.

• Excellent communication skills; ability to work confidently with internal and external teams.

• Strong copywriting skills with an appreciation of the needs of writing for the web.

• Excellent attention to detail – someone who takes care to ensure accuracy down to the smallest detail.

• Able to lead and motivate a team to achieve deliverables.
