Behind the Scenes: Assisting on a Bridal Look Book Shoot

Shooting our new 2014 Bridal collection look book ‘Titania’ is an early start at the Temperley own studio as there is a lot of prep to do beforehand. All dresses are steamed and hung in the order they will be shot.

Next, hair and make up is taken care of; Sheridan Ward for hair took inspiration from classic ‘up-dos’ worn on the red carpet by Eva Mendes and Freida Pinto. While for make up, our artist Zoe Taylor went for simple yet sophisticated with dewy skin, nude lips and bold brows.

The new Titania bridal collection contains belts and brooches as well as veils and headpieces which is new for this season. Along side these we select beautiful accessories from Stephanie Brown and Martine Webster while Jane Taylor provides stunning head pieces to compliment the new season’s dresses.

Matilda Temperley, Alice’s sister, is the photographer for the shoot. Whilst the shoot is happening I assist the rest of the team with dressing our model Josipa, ensuring the gowns are sitting correctly, with veils and trains are set properly and camera ready.

Once the final look has been shot – Alice’s favorite Petunia Skirt and Heather Blouse, all of the dresses are carefully packed away and sent to New York to be unveiled to press at Bridal Fashion Week.

Bloomsbury Flowers made a beautiful Rose headpiece for us to use at the shoot. This went perfectly with our Marguerite dress.

The Temperley Bridal collection all lined up to be shot.
