Alice’s Somerset Birthday Party

Alice was joined by friends and family at her Somerset home where she celebrated her birthday in typically eccentric fashion. Fairy tales was the theme for this year and guests ranged from the tin man to mermaids, while Alice herself channelled Titania, queen of the fairies, teaming the Long Isis Show Dress from AW13 with an archive Temperley headdress and veil. Early on in the evening children were entertained by a traditional puppet show and guests were served drinks from the side of Cockatoo’s converted 1965 Morris Ambulance complete with giant revolving birdcage. Cocktails included Orchard Mist (made with Kingston Black aperitif from Alice’s father’s cider farm), Gordon’s Goosander and Mojito Macaw. A late night surprise performance was also thrown by Isabel and Fernanda Munoz-Newsome in the cellars of the house. The following morning everyone enjoyed brunch and Bloody Marys, much needed after DJs played into the early hours. Explore the event through images captured by Alice's photographer sister, Matilda Temperley.
